Ivanti Supply Chain Enables Rapid Migration to Zebra Technologies’ Android-Based Mobile Devices

Existing telnet and web applications are easily converted into a touch-enabled user interface; channel partners can now leverage an easy-to-use migration tool to speed Android adoption

SALT LAKE CITY — 7 de noviembre de 2018 —

Ivanti Supply Chain today announced that through its Rapid Migration and Rapid Modernization tool, RM2, supply chain organizations can easily move to Android within minutes. Using Ivanti® Velocity, powered by Wavelink, warehousing and retail customers that leverage Zebra Technologies’ MC3300, MC9200, TC8000 and VC80x series devices can quickly modernize their operations, while simplifying the process of bringing existing terminal emulation or web-based apps with them as they migrate to Android.

“Ivanti Velocity powered by Wavelink simplifies migration from Windows to Android devices and speeds app modernization within the warehouse and supply chain with our new RM2 platform,” said Steve Bemis, Global Vice President of Sales, Supply Chain Business Unit, Ivanti. “Our proven framework for Android migration is ideal for both new and experienced channel partners and customers.”

RM2 also includes Rapid Modernization for customers to move from green screens to touch-enabled Android interfaces. The Rapid Modernization tool walks users through simple web forms to choose from the most popular WMS and enterprise systems formatting them into a familiar Android touch-enabled user interface.

“Zebra’s Android-powered mobile devices are used in critical processes such as crossdocking, pick and fill, product handling, storage and inventory control,” said Archana Khetan, Vice President of Product Management, Zebra Technologies. “Converting telnet and web applications into a familiar touch-enabled user interface promises to be a game changer for our distribution center and warehousing customers who are looking to modernize their mobile computing fleets. We are proud to be teaming with Ivanti to further unleash the power of our innovative Android mobile computers.”

“Ivanti continues to deliver powerful support that enables partners like us to drive value for our customers,” said Greg Henry, Vice President of Client Solutions, Barcoding Inc. “RM2 is yet another example of this. With Ivanti, we can quickly migrate and deploy Android devices to replace Windows devices efficiently without a lengthy implementation process.”

“The combination of RM2 and Zebra devices has reduced sales obstacles and objections,” said Jeff Walters, Vice President of North American Sales, Peak-Ryzex. “This reduces the customers’ resistance to making the move from near end-of-life Windows mobile systems.”
